ABOUT

the Community Foundation of Estero Bay

A History of Homegrown Philanthropy

Founded in 1992, the Community Foundation of Estero Bay (CFEB) is a volunteer-led 501(c)3 nonprofit that ensures children can participate in athletic, recreation, and enrichment programs in the Estero Bay communities of Los Osos, Morro Bay, Cayucos, and Cambria regardless of their family’s ability to pay.

A trusted community partner for more than 30 years, CFEB supports qualifying programs—and the families they serve—by providing funding to cover the fees required for participation. Through private donations and awarded grants, CFEB has ensured thousands of children in the Estero Bay have been able to access opportunities to learn, grow, play—and thrive.

Mission

The Community Foundation of Estero Bay, Inc. is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to providing financial assistance to Estero Bay youth who financially would otherwise not be able to participate in Estero Bay area recreational activities. The foundation provides financial assistance by paying a portion of the enrollment fees for youth of qualified families, for their child’s participation in various organized sports, recreation, and enrichment activities within the Estero Bay areas of Los Osos, Morro Bay, Cayucos, and Cambria.

Vision

Inspiring youth to be the best they can be by providing opportunities to participate in sports, recreation, and enrichment programs regardless of cost.

Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

When we say we want to be sure that all children can participate in youth sports and enrichment programs regardless of financial ability to pay, we mean every child. To do that well, the CFEB Board of Directors represents the children that we serve with equality and understands our approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion is embedded in every facet of the work we do. CFEB only connects with partner organizations that understand and are committed to our mission to provide financial assistance to Estero Bay youth free of discrimination or harassment on the grounds of race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, medical condition, marital status, gender, age, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, or status as an individual with a disability.
